Winter 2016 Stream: Luck & Logic Episode 8
A series of impressively shot fight scenes with tight almost claustrophobic camera work involving Veronica and the being she is convinced destroyed her Senpai's mind along with some actual character development for Veronica keep this from the slag heap that is this series. In fact veronica almost feels like too good of a character for a series that is this formulaic and while everything gets wrapped being a conflicted almost world weary warrior in a world that feels like a childish world of easy morals and simplistic constructs. While visuals the aforementioned battle scene which is probably the most "Arty" a series this plain will get. In short this was a very good episode of a very bad series while personally the Aztec god Quetzalcoatl being reduced to a pathetic snarky comedy side kick for a "Mary Sue" is a special kind of mental and emotional death for me. As I actually know the mythology behind Quetzalcoatl. Still an episode that shows that when it wants to it can tell a good story than completely sabotage the emotional maturity and depth it just spent the better part of the last twenty minutes building up.
